The Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome Review

The Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome is a 1953 short film by Kenneth Anger. The film is layered in symbolism and is heavily influenced by the mystical teachings of British occultist Aleister Crowley. The actors within the film are dressed as various gods and deities and Anger has talked about most of his works as actual rituals put on screen. Anger’s short filmography has inspired countless artists and has carved out a spot of it’s own within avant-garde film making.
