Night Tide Review

Night Tide is a 1961 independent film directed by Curtis Harrington. The movie stars a very young Dennis Hopper in one of his first roles. Hopper plays a sailor who meets a women in a jazz club. The two hit it off and all seems well. As the movie progresses, it becomes clear that the women may not be who she originally appeared to be. This movie has a great plot and a heavy brooding atmosphere that is drenched in mystery, suspense, and horror. The film features an appearance from Marjorie Cameron who also has a main role in the film The Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome. Night Tide is a fantastic piece of early 60’s film.
